What started as a question for my family became a mission for everyone.
Bare Surf simply started with me asking this question:
“What am I putting on my children’s skin?”
The more I looked into it, the harder it became to find a sunscreen I was truly comfortable with.
So I made my own.
Starting from nature, keeping only what belonged, and working with an independent lab to make sure it actually worked.
But then I spoke to more people.
Surfers, hikers, parents, anyone who spends real time outdoors.
It made me realize that this wasn’t just my question.
It was everyone’s.
That’s what Bare Surf became.
Not just something I made for my family, but something I wanted to exist for yours too.

We chose each ingredient because nature already perfected it. If we couldn’t explain why it belonged to a sunscreen, it didn’t make the cut.
NON-NANO ZINC
A naturally occurring mineral that physically shields skin from UVA and UVB rays. Non-nano particles stay on the surface, therefore protecting without penetrating.
EXTRA VIRGIN COLD-PRESSED COCONUT OIL
Cold-pressed to preserve its full natural richness. Moisturizes while helping the formula spread evenly across skin.
GRASS-FED BEEF TALLOW
One of the closest things to your skin’s own sebum. Rich in naturally occurring vitamins A, D, E, and K, nourishing deeply and absorbing beautifully.
